The tip of the pen can be used to draw strokes of multiple thickness. The top edge is 8mm thick vertically and 3.5mm thick when used horizontally. The side edges are 2.5mm thick and 4mm thick. The thickness of the strokes also depends upon the amount of pressure you apply when drawing.

It is best to wipe the chalk off the board once the chalk is dry, using a dry cotton cloth. If you are using the Neon Chalk Marker Pens for the first time or after a long time, it would take some time for the Liquid Chalk to flow through. You will have to press the nib repeatedly till the time you see the Liquid Chalk flowing from the tip. Ensure the writing surface is free from dust, dirt and oil before drawing. After you finish using the neon chalk marker pens, ensure you place the cap on it.
